As the evening approached an all-night party would slowly unfold. All doors and homes would be open for people to go from house to house to wish each other a prosperous new year and e offered a drink and a bite, and then move on to the next open door. The streets of the village are also alive with food and vendors, and barrels of free-flowing cider and ale. The night would be filled with music food and noise. Music playing, singing and dancing. To make it to the end of the year with prosperity was something to celebrate loudly about. | |||

New Season is celebrated on the "turning over" of the first day of the new year.

The day before and the next day
The first half of day before is usually celebrated by a large breakfast, followed by cleaning the home and preparing for a large party. People would scrub, clean and dispose of or trade unwanted possessions. "Getting rid of the old and making space for the new." In doing so, many days of trade and local markets selling secondhand items would occur.
